Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Coffee Table Upgrade

Last weekend just in time for our Thanksgiving celebration I managed to get our "coffee table" upcycled by painting it with Annie Sloan "Creme" Chalk Paint. And I say coffee table in quotes because before this it was only a place to put our feet while we watched TV. We didn't actually date put nice things on it. But now, we actually have a usable coffee table and it's tres shabby chic.
This is my second Annie Sloan Chalk Paint project and I have to admit it was a bit more challenging than the first one. This surprised me. I had thought all projects would be as easy as that dresser I did in the "Provence" colour before. I think the difference was that the blue is a lot easier to work with. I didn't panic nearly as much when I saw the dark wax make a mess of my paint job when I was working on the dresser. On the table it really showed and looked impossible to remove. However, I should learn to trust the product. In fact, I kept telling myself "trust the product, trust the product" and in the end of course the clear wax made it all perfect. I am extremely happy with this transformation and looking forward to painting my kitchen cubboards and cabinets now, and anything else that needs a little going over.
