Card: Lovely Butterfly

This is the result of another prompt I received. This one was to use feathers. I ended up using only one feather because truly, feathers are not something I know how to work with. I really didn't have any notion what to do with it.
I had been playing with the idea of setting glitter with double-sided tape for a while, since the only other time I've used glitter I made a big mess. Someone suggested that I use embossing powder mixed with glitter in order to set it, but I thought that would be more appropriate for a more intricate shape. Since this was a simple strip, I went ahead and used the double-sided tape and I'm happy with how it worked out. I have a tiny heart punch that is actually meant to stay attached on both sides, but I didn't want to cover so much of the glitter, so I tore the hearts out of their backing and glued them independently on the glitter strip.
The lovely chevron paper in from My Mind's Eye (I must, must, must get more of that before it gets all sold out) and the pearls and feathers must be from the Dollarama.
I distressed the butterfly here and there with Ranger distress marker in Spun Sugar.
My daughter said she's "not a fan" of this card because of the chevron on chevron pattern, but I like it. It doesn't surprise me that she didn't like it since we don't often like the same things at all. My pattern on pattern choice is actually inspired by this video: http://youtu.be/8UVNT4wvIGY, so it can't be bad, right. :-)
