2014-08-02 Scrapbook Layout - We Are Totally Cool

Last night I went looking for ideas on what to do with some of the stack of Project Life cards that my daughter purchased, and I found many interesting projects to work on. I ran across this video by Wilna Furstenberg on "how to scrapbook when you have zero mojo." I found that so amusing and inspiring, because other than knowing I wanted to use these specific journaling cards in their specific position on the page, I had no idea what else to do with them! In fact, I didn't even know which picture to scrap.
Well, I followed Wilna's advice and it worked. I ended up scrapping a number of old, old, old pictures taken with my daughter's toy digital camera back in 2000 when she was eight years old, and printed on plain printer paper. She had them all stuck together with tape and the whole heap was a general horror, so I felt duty bound to rescue them.
I was a bit concerned that she would be upset that I cut up the little photos, because as you can see they were really tiny and there was a LOT of background. The girl who took them certainly stepped very far away before she pressed the shutter. So I cut them with the photo negative punch and made them fit in the photo negative strip. My daughter was in fact greatful to have the photos screapped, so they're now permanently safe from the recycling box.
