365 in 2015

I have done several 365 projects in the past and to be quite honest I have never wanted to go past about May. I thought long and hard about it before committing to a new one because even though I am doing it completely on my own this time and I am not accountable to anyone but myself, the reality is that quitting does not feel good no matter what the circumstances.
In thinking about why I quit before I think what let me down is that at some point by the time you've taken about 100 photos you begin to realize that you're just taking a photo for the sake of getting it done and you're no longer enjoying the process of taking the photograph. That's when you end up with silly photos of your lunch.
I could feel myself going in that direction from day one with this one, and then I stopped and realized that unless I'm being challenged and I'm learning something; unless I'm taking a risk and being being innovative (relative to what I've done before) then there's not much point in taking this on at all. In fact the whole concept of project 365 was born of a desire to "improve" so if we're not improving we're not being true to the spirit of the thing. It doesn't have to be anything profound either - it could be something as simple as turning your word prompt on its ear, or using a new light source to light your scene. What I'm getting at, is that we have to be heading somewhere and that somewhere shouldn't just be just having 365 pictures at the end of the year. ESPECIALLY if when you look back you hate the majority of them. Now, out of five I've taken so far I absolutely hate one and I'm unhappy with two, so I've stopped and regrouped.
Anyway, enough talk. Here are the photos... some are stupid photos of my lunch or the tree that needs to be taken down, but I'm hoping to do much better starting TODAY.
I will post my entire list of keywords for the year asap.
